The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Ben Simmons with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Aussie point guard was the steals leader (2.1) during the 2019/20 season. His stint with the 76ers ended when on February 10, 2022, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in return for James Harden and Paul Millsap.

Over 41 games with the Nets in the 2022/23 season, the three-time All-Star averaged 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Unfortunately for Simmons, a nerve impingement in his back forced him to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Simmons will look forward to a healthy 2023/24 season so that he can contribute his best for the Nets. At the international level, Simmons also won a silver medal for Team Australia at the 2012 World U17 Championship in Lithuania and a gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Oceania Championship in Australia/New Zealand.

Ben Simmons Team

Ben Simmons is currently representing the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. After five seasons in Philly, he was traded by the 76ers on February 10, 2022 in return for Paul Millsap and James Harden. Unfortunately for him, a herniated disc in his back forced him to miss out the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Simmons returned to the team in the 2022/23 season. He achieved his first triple double in a game against the San Antonio Spurs. However, ongoing injury issues sidelined him for the rest of the season. He has not yet been able to contribute to the best of abilities for the Nets team.

He will hope to stay healthy in the 2023/24 season so he can help guide a young but talented Nets team to the postseason.

How many 3’s has Ben Simmons made?

Ben Simmons has made five 3-point field goals in the regular season in his career. All those came during his time with the Sixers, and he is yet to make a 3-point field goal for the Nets. Simmons is not known for his shooting ability and has often drawn criticism for not developing a jump shot.
