The Bengaluru Beast and Pune Peshwas played out an absolutely electrifying match at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad, but it was the former who came out trumps by a solitary point, winning 79-78 on Thursday.
The first quarter turned out to be a quick-paced one, but it was the Beast, courtesy TJ Sahi, who took the lead and finished the first 10 minutes with a 28-22 scoreline in their favour.
The Beast carried their momentum into the second quarter, scoring 18 points against the 14 from the Peshwas. At one point it looked like the Peshwas would make it their quarter, but the Beast made a quick comeback to end the first 20 minutes with a 10-point lead at 46-36.

The other side of the half saw an equally keen tussle but it was the Beast, who continued to carry all the momentum, finishing the quarter with a 63-58 scoreline in their favour.
The fourth and final quarter proved to be an absolutely rivetting affair between the two teams. In the dying moments of the match, Kaif of the Beast made a foul to give the Peshwas a great chance to close the match. But two errors from Nitin ensured that the Beast emerged victorious by a single point.
