Boban Marjanovic is a Serbian professional basketball player who was born on August 15, 1988. Marjanovic has played for multiple NBA teams in his career, and last played for the Houston Rockets in the 2022/23 season. At the international level, he has represented Serbia at the FIBA World Cup and the Olympics. Standing at 7 feet 4 inches tall, Marjanovic is one of the tallest players in the NBA.

Marjanovic has also appeared in multiple films — including John Wick Chapter 3, and Netflix film Hustle, which was produced by Lebron James and Adam Sandler.

Early Career

Marjanovic began his basketball career in his hometown Boljevac, Serbia, where he played for Rtanj. At the age of 14, he was already 6 feet 10.5 inches tall. He then played for Serbian professional team Hemofarm.

NBA Career

In 2015, Marjanovic signed a one-year deal worth $1.2 million with the San Antonio Spurs. He made his NBA debut in October 2015, recording six points and five rebounds in a win against the Brooklyn Nets.

In 2016, he signed a three-year $21 million deal with the Detroit Pistons. After two years in Detroit, he also played for theLA Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers till 2019.

In July 2019, Marjanovic was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he recorded his career-high 31 points and 17 rebounds in a win against the Denver Nuggets. Marjanovic moved to the Houston Rockets via a trade on June 24, 2022, which was his last NBA team. In 317 NBA games, Marjanovic has averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
