Bobby Portis is an American power forward who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks. Portis is known for being a tough 3-and-D stretch four player who makes an immediate impact coming off the bench. Portis hails from Little Rock, Arkansas Williams, where he attended Hall High School and later built a reputation as a two-way stretch-four power forward at the University of Arkansas from 2013 to 2015 under coach Mike Anderson. Eventually, Portis was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 2015 draft as the 22nd overall pick.

Portis played for Chicago from 2015 to 2019 and improved from 7 points per game player in his rookie year to a solid 14.1 points per game in his fourth year. He was drafted by the Washington Wizards in February 2019 and then played the 2019-20 season with the New York Knicks. In the 2020-21 season, Portis shot a terrific 47.1% three-point distance, third highest in the NBA. In the 2021 playoffs, Portis’ two-way gameplay and his hustle plays were instrumental in Milwaukee Bucks 2021 NBA championship where instantly became a fan-favorite. In the 2022 off-season, Bobby Portis signed a four-year, $48.58 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks where he found a home and a role that suits his play style. In the 2023-24 season, Bobby Portis averaged 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, playing 24.5 minutes per game for the Bucks. Off the court, Bobby Ports has a “Bobby Portis Foundation” which is a charitable organization that helps single mothers in Arkansas with their various programs and initiatives.
