Bol Bol is a South Sudanese-American basketball player who plays as a backup forward for the Phoenix Suns. Born in Khartoum, South Sudan, Bol Bol relocated to the US at a young age. He grew up in Olathe, Kansas, where there is a large Sudanese population. He learnt the fundamentals of basketball from his father Manute Bol, a former NBA player and one of the tallest players in NBA history.

After just one season at University of Oregon, Bol Bol arrived in the NBA when the Miami Heat drafted him with the 44th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
