The Boston Celtics face the Indiana Pacers for the second straight time after playing them on Friday. Boston got a lopsided 142-105 win in that game, behind Jaylen Brown’s 44 points, while Jayson Tatum had 22 points and 13 rebounds.
The season series between the two teams is tied 1-1 after the Pacers got the better of Boston on Oct. 30 and won 135-132 in OT. Despite Tatum’s 37-point performance, the Celtics couldn’t get a win. Sunday’s game will be the final meeting between the two teams this season.
The Boston Celtics are second in the East with a 23-8 record and have won six of their past 10 games, while the Pacers are eighth with a 15-17 record. Heading into this key game, let’s take a look at Boston’s injury report.
Jrue Holiday is ruled out after being listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, as per ESPN. A right shoulder impingement sidelined the two-time NBA champion for the past two games. Holiday is a key starter for Boston and averaged 12.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 26 games before going down with the injury.

Kristaps Porzingis, meanwhile, missed the last game with a left ankle sprain. He is also ruled out for the game after being listed as questionable for Sunday’s game as well. As Porzingis is forced to miss a second straight game, the Celtics will likely start Al Horford again. Porzingis has played just 11 games this season after undergoing offseason surgeries to repair a torn retinaculum and dislocated posterior tibialis tendon.
Besides the two starters, Boston will be without Anton Watson who's out with an adductor injury.
The Indiana Pacers, meanwhile, will be without Aaron Nesmith (ankle), Isaiah Jackson (torn Achilles) and James Wiseman (left Achilles tear). Obi Toppin is questionable with an ankle injury.
