#3 Trade talks for Clint Capela are underway

The Celtics have engaged in trade talks with over a potential deal for Clint Capela

On Sunday evening, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the Houston Rockets were 'actively discussing several trade scenarios involving center Clint Capela. The report claimed that the Rockets were engaged in trade talks with several teams in the Eastern Conference, and Wojnarowski offered a further update on Monday, revealing that the Celtics were among the interested teams:

Capela was selected by the Rockets with the 25th overall pick in the 2014 draft, and the center has been a regular starter since Mike D'Antoni was appointed head coach back in 2016. So far this season, Capela has appeared 39 times, averaging 13.9 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks per contest - and the 25-year-old is signed through to the 2022-23 campaign.

However, Houston has once again struggled to compete with the best teams in the West, and offloading Capela may be their only avenue to making significant additions ahead of the trade deadline.
