Jaylen Brown in no rush to sign a new deal
Boston selected Jaylen Brown third overall back in 2016, and the 22-year-old has established himself as an important player under Brad Stevens. The wing is eligible to sign a rookie extension until Oct. 21, although Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal is reporting that Brown is in 'no rush' to sign a new deal:
I've been able to watch these guys for three years, they have their process and like to take theri time. There is no rush at all, I don't know if they feel rushed. I hope they don't. They will figure it out or not figure it out. Either way is fine with me.

Last season, Brown averaged 13 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. If he fails to agree an extension with the Celtics, he is expected to command significant offers next summer due to the lack of talent set to hit the free agent market in 2020.
