Bruce Brown is one of the best role players who can make a difference off the bench. He was a crucial part of the Denver Nuggets team that won 2023 NBA championship. In January 2023, Brown was traded to the Toronto Raptors.

Brown seems like a good fit for the Raptors and could help the team with his defense and off-the-ball shooting proficiency. With Brown’s versatile gameplay, the Toronto Raptors will be looking to reach the playoffs in near future.

The Toronto Raptors is Brown's fifth team after the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, and Indiana Pacers. In his five seasons in the NBA, Brown has averaged 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Brown has won one NBA championship in his only season with the Nuggets. He contributed immensely on the offensive as well as on the defensive end and posted his career-best stats last season. He averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 80 games this season.

Brown developed an interest in playing football and basketball during his childhood but continued with basketball in the long run. Initially, he went to the Vermont Academy and was ranked a five-star recruit by 247Sports. He was also chosen to play the high school All-Star game, Jordan Brand Classic in 2016 and was ranked 26 in the ESPN Top 100 list which also includes other star players like Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo.

After high school, Bruce Brown has several offers from different colleges including Indiana but he chooses to play for the Miami Hurricanes. He played there for only two seasons. As a freshman, he started 29 out of 33 games and proved his versatility by becoming the team's third-leading scorer, averaging 11.8 points, and also led the team in total assists (3.4) and rebounds (5.6).

However, the Hurricanes were not that balanced and strong relative to other NCAA teams hence were eliminated in the first round of the tournament by Michigan State.

Brown was doing well with his college basketball, as he injured his left foot in his sophomore year which required surgery. He played only 19 games, averaging 11.4 points, and again was unable to advance through the first round of the NCAA tournament.

After the season ended, Brown declared for the 2018 NBA draft and was picked by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the draft.
