William Darrel “Bubba” Wallace Jr. is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the no.23 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing. Wallace is the only African-American driver to have competed in the last three NASCAR series. Bubba Wallace has been a part of the driver-development program for both Toyota and Ford. He has participated in the lower NASCAR series as a driver from Toyota’s driver development program, during his early days. Wallace ran the Xfinity Series with Joe Gibbs Racing and Craftsman Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Bubba Wallace began racing at the age of nine. He started his career participating in Bandoleros and Legends Car series. In 2005, Bubba Wallace won 35 out of 48 Bandoleros races held that year. He went on to win the Franklin County Speedway in Virginia in 2008, becoming the youngest driver to do so. Wallace started competing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2010.
He was a part of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. Wallace drove for Rev Racing and was later signed as a developmental driver for Joe Gibbs Racing.
