Cade Cunningham is a 6-foot-6-inch guard who plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. After being one of the most highly rated college players of his cohort, he was selected 1st overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. A natural point guard, he is currently acting as the floor general for the team which helps complement his basketball IQ and scoring ability, which are also rated very highly.

The NBA All-Rookie First Team member signed his rookie contract, worth $45.5 million for four years, in 2021. Additionally, the first two years of the deal would be guaranteed and the last two come with a team option.

After completing high school, Cunningham went to Oklahoma State for his college basketball. In his debut game with Oklahoma, he showed a little demonstration of his versatility and scored a double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds).


He played only one season and amassed the league in statistics. He averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in 26 starts. Thus, was acknowledged as the Big 12 Player of the Year and inducted into the Consensus First Team All-American for his exceptional performance in the freshman year.
