The sun was setting somewhere in the distant skies and the gates of the Cager’s Hell were opening for one last time to let its four best warriors in. The floodlight baked BBC was all set for a fatal four way showdown. It was the business end of the tournament and no ‘would be’ business professional wanted to lose out on it.
The best were already separated from the rest. The cream was already whipped from the milk. The battlefield was surrounded by a humongous crowd who intended to use their vocal chords and cheeky jargons as weapons of destruction.

The first Semifinal, to put it politely, was a dead rubber. Aane Do (Senior A) maintained their dominance over the GajaBs (Junior G) rather easily throughout the course of the match. Senior A ultimately clinched the match 16-6. Mayank Singh was the star performer for Aane Do (Senior A) as he scored half of the team’s total points.
The second Semi-Final was the so-called “El-Classico” of the tournament. The two heavyweights i.e. Baap-Ji (Senior B) and Sec C (Junior C) locked horns against each other. The result was expected to be a high octane game of basketball. But it turned out to be an anti climax. Baap-Ji effortlessly got past the Sec C with an intimidating scoreline of 29-17. Pratyay scored a staggering 20 points.
The Grand Finale
So, the picture was now crystal clear. Two teams, one match and one trophy. The Grand Finale began with Baap-Ji (Senior B) putting up yet another show as they raced away to 10-1 by half time. Aane Do (Senior A) tried to claw their way back into the match by netting a barrage of baskets but unfortunately their effort proved too little too late. As soon as the ref blew the final whistle, the Baap-Ji section of the crowd erupted. They danced, they sang and congratulated each other. Scenes of jubilation and pride were all around.
Senior A had put up a good fight as the final score stood at 27-11 and they deserved to walk with their heads held high as well. Mayank Singh played his heart out but the ‘favorites’ once again proved why they were worthy of that adjective. Somebody said, “Nothing succeeds like success” and the Baap-Jis proved it. Udyan Gupta was the star performer for them.
Pratyay was chosen as the “Best Player of Cager’s Hell” and Manoj bagged the award for “The Emerging Player of Cager’s Hell”. Baap-Ji (Senior B) walked away with the winner’s trophy.
LOT Leaderboard
If we look at the LOT Leaderboard, Senior B take up the numero uno spot courtesy their title wins in Volley Cano (Volleyball) and Cager’s Hell (Basketball). Junior F are placed second while Senior F are at the bottom.
The way ahead
What began as another basketball competition ended up being a splendid display of skills, emotions, determination, pride and ultimately success. This tournament won a lot of hearts, brought smiles on many faces, left a trail of sweet memories and added another marvel to IMT’s sporting history.
This is not the end but the beginning of a very long and mesmerising saga. League of Titans still holds quite a few cards close to its chest. Nobody knows what surprise it springs up next. Until then, keep calm and keep dunking!
