Cam Thomas is a professional basketball player who is currently the starting shooting guard for the Brooklyn Nets. Born on October 13, 2001 in Yokosuka, Japan, Cam Thomas is an emerging star for the franchise who has started to bloom in the 2023-24 season. Thomas’s journey with the Nets was challenging in the beginning as he got very limited playing time. The Nets were fully packed with superstar players like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but Thomas made a mark to become the third key scorer for the Nets. After the 2021-22 season, the Nets let go of their All-Star players and this was when Thomas’ talent started to shine.

This move marked a new era for Cam Thomas and brought him to the forefront of the Nets’ offence. Thomas didn’t let go of the opportunity, and showcased his explosive offensive capability scoring 40 points in three consecutive games. He made headlines with this, becoming the youngest player to do so in NBA history.

In the 2023-24 season, Cam Thomas will be a player to watch out for. In his first eight games, he is averaging 26.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
