In the 2014 – 2015, it is projected that a Canadian in Andrew Wiggins will be selected first over-all and a handful of other Canadians to be drafted in the same class. To get the respect of our brother country U.S.A, Canada will have to produce multiple valuable players playing in the NBA at once. Unfortunately, Steve Nash, who was the first to become a international superstar and was former two time NBA MVP, was all by him self so his level of fame only reached a certain limit.
Steve Nash, who is a pioneer of Canadian Basketball and reached the most level of personal success as a Canadian player, is also the GM of Canada’s national basketball team and he states to the Toronto Sun, “This really is the golden age of Canadian basketball, We plan to build upon this momentum over the next three years as we look toward the 2016 Olympics and beyond. Our immediate goal is to prepare the team over the next month to be in the best possible position to secure a berth to next year’s FIBA World Cup.”
With young talent and respectable personal predictions to back it up the future is looking very bright for the athletes over in the North.
