Former NBA star Carmelo Anthony appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Thursday night to offer a final update on his son - Kiyan Anthony - making a college decision between Syracuse Orange and USC Trojans.

The talented teenager is among the top seniors in high school basketball this year as a four-star guard recruit.

The 40-year-old didn't shy away when being quizzed by Fallon about a rumor involving his son's college basketball future. The clip can be seen below.

"I'm a little nervous. He's deciding which college he wants to go to. Its down to Syracuse and USC. So we'll see." Carmelo Anthony said.
"It was a fine line I can't cross. Yeah, due to my tie. You know, let him do his thing. But it's been a fun process. Just seeing him, he's just a great kid. He's a good kid and a good man." Anthony added.

Fallon revealed Kiyan would announce his final decision on Carmelo Anthony's "7 PM in Brooklyn" show next week. Carmelo was one of the three guests on Fallon's show, with Hollywood actress Saoirse Ronan and legendary Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour also present later that night.

The emergence of Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, in high school basketball

Anthony is considered by many as one of the best young shooting guards in high school basketball. He played for Long Island Lutheran High School, showcasing his ability to score at a high clip and can facilitate for others around him on the offensive end.

While he has a bright future ahead, Anthony would need some time to reach his potential at the college level. It might be difficult for Kiyan to follow up his father's legacy if he decides to go with Syracuse given what Carmelo accomplished.

In 2002, Carmelo Anthony spent one season at Syracuse University where he matured into an elite scorer and rebounder. Anthony averaged 22.2 points and 10.0 boards per game during the 2002-03 season, won a national championship with the Orange, and later went on to have a legendary career in the NBA as a 10-time All-Star.

All eyes will now be on Kiyan, who is set to announce his big decision on Nov. 15.
