The Thunder entered this December contest against the Brooklyn Nets with a hugely disappointing 11-13 record. The trio of George, Anthony, and Westbrook had yet to gel, although a struggling Nets team presented a good opportunity for the Thunder to pick up a road win.

Nevertheless, after leading for much of the game, the Thunder managed just 16 fourth-quarter points and eventually succumbed to a 100-95 defeat.

Westbrook recorded 31 points, although, in the absence of George, Anthony struggled to step up, recording just 11 points in 37 minutes.

Melo finished the game shooting just 5 of 20 from the field, including missing all five of his attempts from beyond the arc.

Notably, Melo did manage 10 rebounds, however, the game served as a reminder that Anthony was no longer the offensive force that won the 2013 Scoring Title.
