Charles Barkley has been cracking jokes all night on the TNT Show, just as he typically does. However, Thursday night felt a bit different when he made a joke about the All-Star game.
Barkley brought up politics and who the United States of America voted into office to draw comparisons with the All-Star game selections.
Charles had the following to say:

“We let the fans vote, look what happened last time they got to vote for President.”

Shaquille O'Neal started cracking up, while the rest of the crew sat there awkwardly. Charles Barkley then noted that he wasn't talking about President Joe Biden and was speaking about former President Donald Trump.
Politics is a huge subject on social media, so it wouldn't be surprising to see some Trump supporters calling out Charles Barkley and TNT.
Charles Barkley's history with politics
This isn't the first time that Barkley has spoken about politics. He's said in the past that he hates politics because of the way they separate people. He made the comments in 2021 while talking about racial issues in America.
He said:
"Man, I think most white people and Black people are great people, I really believe that in my heart, but I think our system is set up where our politicians, whether they're Republicans or Democrats, are designed to make us not like each other so they can keep their grasp of money and power. They divide and conquer."
He continued:
"I truly believe in my heart most white people and Black people are awesome people, but we’re so stupid following our politicians, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, and their only job is, ‘Hey, let’s make these people not like each other."
He added:
"We don’t live in their neighborhoods, we all got money, let’s make the whites and Blacks not like each other, let’s make rich people and poor people not like each other, let’s scramble the middle class.' I truly believe that in my heart."
Everything that Barkley has said is certainly warranted if that's how he feels. Many people agree with him that politics separate people and don't bring the country together whatsoever.
