Before transitioning to coaching, Lee was a player who declared for the 2006 NBA Draft. Lee never made it into the NBA season regulars; however, he was picked for the NBA Summer League and preseason. After going undrafted in the 2006 NBA draft, he played professional basketball from 2006 to 2010 as a shooting guard for clubs like the Hapoel Gilboa/Afula, the R.B.C. Verviers-Pepinster, the BG Göttingen, and the Artland Dragons.
