The Charlotte Hornets will take the floor against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday at the Wells Fargo Center in the teams' second face-off against each other this week. The Sixers' last game was their 121-108 win over the Hornets on Monday while the Hornets are playing back-to-back games after a 123-114 loss to the Washington Wizards on Thursday.
Both teams are in the bottom half of the Eastern Conference standings and haven't yet hit 10 wins. The Hornets, in particular, are seeking to reverse their fortunes after a three-game losing skid.

Brandon Miller will be a game-time decision and there is uncertainty surrounding the status of his left ankle which he sprained in the Hornets' Monday matchup against the Sixers.

Meanwhile, Tre Mann who missed that game due to back problems will be out on Friday too and will be re-evaluated in the first week of January. The injuries to Miller and Mann compound the Hornets' woes, they already lost Grant Williams to a knee injury sustained on November 24 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Philadelphia 76ers injury report:
Joel Embiid is a game-time decision after missing Monday's game against the Hornets due to a right sinus fracture he sustained on December 13 against the Indiana Pacers.
After that same game, promising rookie Jared McCain complained of left knee soreness. Since then, he has undergone surgery to repair what was confirmed to be a torn lateral meniscus.
Additionally, Caleb Martin will sit out of his third straight game due to a right shoulder impingement.

Tyrese Maxey dropped a 40-piece on the Hornets during the Sixers' 121-108 win on Monday. Lamelo Ball, meanwhile, had 15 points, 11 assists, five rebounds, and four steals to show for his efforts. If Ball won't be able to contain Maxey in their second meeting this week, it'll be a long night for the Hornets.
Josh Green vs Paul George
Josh Green has proven to be a reliable hand on the defensive end, and he'll need to be on his A-game as he goes up against nine-time All-Star Paul George. Earlier this week, George was not far off Maxey's production, scoring 33 points on 13 of 20 shooting.
