Chennai Slam beat the hosts Hyderabad Sky 90-77 in Game One on Thursday at the UBA Championship, being played at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.
The first quarter saw both teams score a spree of goals and accounted for a total of 55 points, the highest of the game combined. The Hyderabad team started off brightly but the Chennai team weren't far behind, and the quarter finished with the hosts slightly ahead at 26-29.
The second quarter saw Chennai fight back, courtesy some splendid play particularly from Ramkumar, and they ended the quarter with a 10-point lead at 48-38. The third quarter saw both teams score an almost equal share of points, but the Slams continued to maintain their domination and eventually sealed the contest 90-77.
Final Scoreline: Chennai Slam 90 (Ramkumar 30 Carmel 27 Agu 10) beat Hyderabad Sky 77 (Patil 36 Vijay 12 Nihal 11).
