Chet Holmgren is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. Born in Minneapolis, Holmgren started playing basketball at a very young age, learning from his father, who was a former college basketball player.
Playing for Minnehaha Academy during his high school tenure, Holmgren didn’t play much during his freshman season. He had his growth spurt in his sophomore season, which promoted him into the starting lineup. He started drawing attention from multiple scouts as a result of his height and length.
Holmgren committed to Gonzaga in 2021, where he had 14 points, 13 rebounds, seven blocks, and six assists on his college debut.
