The Chicago Bulls vs Philadelphia 76ers duel was off to a strong start from the home team. They beat Philly 33-23 behind an explosive first quarter from Zach LaVine. The Bulls took a 12-4 lead at 7:55 in the first period with Nikola Vucevic's 3-pointer before Kelly Oubre Jr. cut the lead with another triple. Joel Embiid wasn't sharp on offense and was ultimately replaced by Andre Drummond with 6:46 on the clock.
LaVine finished the first quarter with nine points after making a couple of 2-point shots, two free throws and a 3-pointer to give his team the lead after the first quarter.
Embiid came back to life in the second quarter, scoring nine points in the first five minutes of the period. He entered halftime with 19 points after shooting 8-for-18 from the field. Moreover, the big man grabbed six rebounds, dished two assists and blocked one shot to lead his team's comeback on the scoreboard.
Zach LaVine only scored four more points to finish the half with 13 points.
The Chicago Bulls finished the third quarter with a 29-26 win to enter the final period down five points. They continued the good moment in the final quarter, taking a 13-10 lead with 4:50 on the clock. The 76ers held onto the 108-100 win with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey leading the way and stopping the Bulls despite a second-half comeback attempt.
