Christopher Emmanuel Paul is an American point Guard who plays for the Golden State Warriors. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Paul attended West Forsyth High School, where he achieved remarkable success & became a McDonald’s All-American in his senior season. He then played two seasons at the University of Wake Forest before declaring for the draft.
In the 2005 NBA Draft, Paul was selected as the 4th overall pick by the New Orleans Hornets, where he played seven seasons. In his rookie season, Paul was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2006 with impressive stats of 16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.
After seven successful seasons with the New Orleans Hornets, Chris Paul had established himself as one of the top point guards in the league & earned the nickname "The Point God" during this time, reflecting his exceptional passing skills and leadership as a point guard.
After numerous team changes, Chris Paul finally settled with the Golden State Warriors in 2023. Paul earned two prestigious Olympic gold medals with the USA basketball team in 2008 (Beijing) & 2012 (London). Throughout his career, Paul got many recognition namely twelve NBA All-Star selections, eleven All-NBA Team selections, and nine NBA All-Defensive Team selections. In 2021, he was honoured as one of the greatest players in NBA history by being selected to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
