The Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves will headline an action-packed Saturday of NBA games when they go toe-to-toe at the Target Center. This will be the first game between the two nonconference teams. Last season, they split their wins.
The Cavs (34-6) will look to get back on track after a frustrating 134-114 loss to the Western Conference's top seed, the OKC Thunder. This was their second loss this week, their first against a Western Conference team. They now have the chance to put that disappointment behind them, but it's a tricky matchup against a team that's been in stellar form recently.
Meanwhile, the hosts (22-19) enter this game on the back of a 116-99 win over the New York Knicks, where Anthony Edwards erupted for a near triple-double, scoring 36 points, seven assists and 13 rebounds.
They started the year with three straight defeats, but since their victory against the LA Clippers, they have looked like a different team, managing to win five of their last seven games. During this run of form, the Timberwolves have moved from 11th place to eighth. They will hope to not fall back into old habits of inconsistent performances.
