The Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year of 2018, Cody Martin is a professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard / small forward in the NBA. Drafted as the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft, he was picked by the Charlotte Hornets based on his performance for NC State and Nevada while playing collegiate basketball for them. Cody Martin was named to the Preseason MWC Team in his senior year.

He received Second team All-Mountain West honor in 2018 and Third team All-Mountain West in 2019 while playing for Nevada. He led the Wolf Pack to an NCAA Tournament appearance. He also participated in the NBA Draft Combine in 2018 after declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft. Prior to college, he started his high school career at Davie County High School and moved to Prep Powerhouse Oak Hill Academy.
