Cory was drafted as 29th overall pick in 2011 by San Antonio Spurs. Spurs assigned Cory to play for Austin Toros for three times in two years. He was injured in 2013 and was replaced bu Justin-Dentmon. When he returned from his injury, Cory started playing as backup point guard for Spurs.
In his first five matches, he averaged 8.8 points with 2.6 assists. With his ability of dribbling and tacking the offense of opponents, he helped team to reach the 2013 finals. Cory became the solid defender of the team, and with the names like Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker, Spurs won the NBA Championship in 2014.
After winning the championship in 2014, Cory signed a 4 year contract with Toronto Raptors for $30 million in 2015.
