Cory Joseph is the Canadian professional basketball player. Cory was born on August 20th 1991 to the former basketball player David and Connie Joseph. David and Connie both has played high-school basketball. So, it was easy for Cory to adapt basketball during his childhood as his game. With his skills and ability to carry the ball on the court he is the most interesting player to watch. He can easily play on all the positions and most of the times you will see him as a point guard.

Cory Joseph joined the NBA in 2011 when he was drafted as 29th pick by San Antonio Spurs. During his third year at Spurs, Cory and the team worked hard to get to the finals. Under the guidance of coach Gregg Popovich, Spurs gets their NBA Championship. And this was the first NBA ring for Cory playing for the Spurs. During this tournament of 2014, Cory played at the position of backup point guard.

Early Career

As being the son of the former basketball players, Cory has love for basketball from his childhood. David and Connie started training their son during early years of his life. This training helped him through out his career. They joined him to Pickering High School, Ajax, Ontario (Canada). Later he was transferred to Findlay Prep High School in Nevada, and here he emerged as a rising basketball star for the school. With this exceptional skills and dribbling ability he was known among the best players in the high-school.

Cory joined University of Texas, and his love for basketball even flourished when he played under great coaches. With the basketball team of University, Cory played around 36 matches in his freshman year. He developed his skills during this time, and was vey well known in the basketball world. Cory just played for only one year in the University of Texas. Later he declared himself for the NBA draft.

NBA Career

Cory was drafted as 29th overall pick in 2011 by San Antonio Spurs. Spurs assigned Cory to play for Austin Toros for three times in two years. He was injured in 2013 and was replaced bu Justin-Dentmon. When he returned from his injury, Cory started playing as backup point guard for Spurs.

In his first five matches, he averaged 8.8 points with 2.6 assists. With his ability of dribbling and tacking the offense of opponents, he helped team to reach the 2013 finals. Cory became the solid defender of the team, and with the names like Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker, Spurs won the NBA Championship in 2014.

After winning the championship in 2014, Cory signed a 4 year contract with Toronto Raptors for $30 million in 2015. He played several matches for the team, and was a key player for the team in defense. In 2017, Cory was traded to Indiana Pacers in exchange of Emir Preldzic. And after two years of play, when the contract finished, Cory was siogned with Sacamento Kings in 2019 - 2021.

Throughout his career, Joseph's averages of around 7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game may not have captured headlines, but his dedication, work ethic, and ability to fit into various systems have made him a respected figure in the NBA.
