The official mascot of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA is a wolf named Crunch. He has been an integral part of the Minnesota Timberwolves since the day he was introduced in 2003. They had many mascots prior to Crunch, like the Wolves Pack, T-Wolves, and Prowley the Wolf, but none of them were as popular as him.
The team’s website suggests that Crunch was born in the northwest wilderness of Minnesota. His parents were baffled by his love for basketball. He learnt the game with a basket made of pine-cones and birch barks on his own. He started augmenting his basketball skills when he was just a cub. He migrated to the twin city where the Minnesota Timberwolves team is located.
He has grown to become a wolf with a height of 6 feet and weighs 190 pounds now. He is 20 years of age and has big eyes, and wears a furry wolf costume and a blue Minnesota Timberwolves jersey above it.
Nobody knows where Crunch lives, but it is believed that he lives inside a den someplace inside the Target Center. He comes out on the match day after hearing the Timberwolves fans howl. The deafening howls of fans remind him of his past life in the forest, but their love for him and the team keeps him in the city so that he can help his team win.
