
Daishen Nix is a 2002-born American professional basketball player for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, an affiliate of the Houston Rockets in the NBA G League. Daishen Nix played for the Trinity International High School. Initially, Nix signed a National letter of intent to join the UCLA Bruins however Nix later decommitted from UCLA prematurely to join the G League. In April 2020, Nix signed a one-year deal with the NBA G League Ignite, a developmental team affiliated with the NBA G League for a contract worth $300,000. In 2021 Nix decided to enter the 2021 NBA draft. With a wingspan of 6 feet 7 inches, Daishen was rated as a five-star prospect.
After going undrafted, Nix joined the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2021 NBA Summer League. Subsequently, he signed with the Houston Rockets and in October 2021 this deal was converted into a two-way contract where as per the terms of the deal, Nix would split playing time between the Houston Rockets and their G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In June 2023 Nix was waived by the Rockets. After this, he signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In early 2025 Nix was waived by the Wolves and then again re-signed with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for his second stint. He was also an instrumental part of the 2022 Rio Grande Valley Vipers team that won the NBA G League.
