Damian Lillard is an American professional basketball player currently running point for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA, after an illustrious few seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard began his high school career by playing for Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, California, where he joined the team as a 5 '5” freshman and after his coach did not return to the team after his freshman year, Lillard looked to transfer. For his sophomore year, Lillard transferred to St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California. However, lack of playing time forced Lillard to look for another high school. He went on to play for the Oakland High School where he flourished as a player. He was first-team All-League in both his junior and senior years. However, Lillard was only a two-star recruit coming out of high school. He did not receive many offers and accepted a scholarship offer from Weber State, Utah.

In his freshman year at Weber State, Lillard averaged 11.5 points per game, gaining Big Sky Freshman of the Year honours. In his sophomore year, Lillard upped his scoring to 19.9 a game, this time earning first-team All-Big Sky honours. In his junior year, Lillard averaged 24.5 points a game, finishing 2nd in the nation in scoring. After his junior year, Lillard declared for the NBA draft, foregoing his final year of college.

In the 2012 NBA draft, Damian Lillard was drafted with the sixth overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers. Since then Lillard has been everything for the Blazers. With 7 all-star and 7 all-NBA selections, Lillard has established himself as the quintessential guard for Portland as well as the NBA. Lillard led the Blazers to the Western Conference Finals once but lost to the Warriors in 4 games. He is the leading scorer in Blazers history and has set records that won’t be broken for a long long time. Recently, Lillard got traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team deal, pairing him with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
