Exum was a highly-rated prospect in the 2014 NBA Draft and was drafted with the fifth overall pick by the Utah Jazz. He played all 82 games as a rookie, becoming the 10th rookie in franchise history to do so. In 2015, Exum sustained an ACL injury, which slowed his development, forcing him to miss an entire season. He suffered from more injuries in the coming seasons and was eventually traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
