FIBA Africa Group C: Morocco 88, DR Congo 81 (OT)
Luanda, ANGOLA-- DR Congo dropped their second straight game in their second overtime in as many games, losing to Morocco 88-81. Abdelhakim Zouita scored 21 points for Morocco in their first win of the qualification for the FIBA World Cup in the African region while DR Congo drops to 0-2 in the last place heading into their final game of the first slate of games. Morocco faces Egypt while DR Congo takes on home team Angola on Sunday.

Yaoundé, Cameroon-- Tunisia improves to 2-0 in their Group play with a 61 point blowout of Chad. Ziyed Chennoufi was the top performer for Tunisia with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chad falls to 0-2 after the huge loss and was led by Michael Koibe's 17 points. Tunisia's final game in the first round of games will be against Cameroon while Chad takes on Guinea.
FIBA Africa Group C: Angola 68, Egypt 64
Luanda, ANGOLA-- the home team came back from an early 11 point deficit to defeat the visiting Egyptians 68-64, improving to 2-0 in group play in the FIBA World Cup Africa qualifiers. Yanick Moreira was the leading performer for Angola in the win with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Omar Tarek Oraby pulled down a double-double for Egypt with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Egypt's final game of the set is against Morocco while Angola takes on the winless DR Congo to try to finish their first-round games 3-0.
FIBA Africa Group A: Cameroon 116, Guinea 78
Yaoundé, CAMEROON-- The home team Cameroon improves to 2-0 in their 38-point blowout of Guinea in from of a partying Cameroonian crowd in Yaoundé. Kenneth Kadji scored 20 for Cameroon in the win while Yacouba Sylla of Guinea scored 16 points. Cameroon's final game of this round of games is against Tunisia in a battle of 2-0 teams while Guinea takes on Chad in a fight between two 0-2 teams.
