De'Anthony Melton, also known as Mr. Do Something plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. He began his NBA career at Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California. At a young age, he showed his outstanding talent, leading the school team to back-to-back title wins.

In 2018, Melton was selected as the 46th overall pick by the Houston Rockets. However, the rights were later traded to the Phoenix Suns. He spent only one season with the Suns, but he was the second-leading for the steals per game in his rookie year.

In 2019, De'Anthony Melton was then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. In the three seasons played with the Grizzlies, Melton was a key member leading the team to two consecutive playoff appearances. His hustle and gameplay on both ends of the court made him a key player for the Grizzlies.

In 2022, Melton's journey continued as he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Danny Green. During the 2022-23 season, Melton had one of his best seasons to date, averaging 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and an impressive 1.6 steals per game. Now in his second season with the 76ers, Melton is playing a vital role averaging 11.5 points per game.

Before making it to the NBA, De'Anthony Melton played for the University of Southern California (USC) in the Pac-12 conference. In his freshman season, he played a crucial role in leading his team to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

The USC Trojans secured notable victories over the future number one and number two NBA draft picks, with Melton playing a significant role in those wins. The number one pick, Markelle Fultz, led the University of Washington, while the number two pick, Lonzo Ball, led UCLA. In his lone college season, Melton averaged impressive numbers, scoring 8.3 points, grabbing 4.7 rebounds, dishing out 3.5 assists, and recording 1.9 steals per game.

However, Melton's sophomore season was filled with controversy. He was suspended due to an investigation into the college basketball scandal. As a result, he withdrew from USC and declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
