Born on July 21, 1988, in Houston, Texas, DeAndre Jordan’s basketball journey began at Episcopal High School, where he was rated as the second best center in the country. He then played one season of college ball at Texas A&M University before declaring for the 2008 NBA Draft.

The Los Angeles Clippers selected Jordan with the 35th overall pick in 2008. During his time with the Clippers, DJ led the league in rebounding twice and field goal percentage five times. He was also named on the All-Defensive First Team in 2014 and 2015.

After nine seasons with the Clippers, Jordan signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 then joined the New York Knicks the following season. Now in his 16th season, the one-time All-Star primarily plays as a backup center in the NBA.
