The Delhi Capitals beat the Haryana Gold in a last minute thriller in the UBA Championship at the Gachiibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.

The match started at a quick pace with both teams playing well, challenging each other. The first quarter ended 17-17, with both teams fighting neck to neck, but the second quarter started with two fantastic 3 pointers from the Capitals.

That gave them the energy to score a lot more until the end of the quarter. The score was 37-33 in the favour of Capitals at the end of the first half.

The second half saw an excellent comeback by Haryana Gold. With 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter, there were far behind the Capitals. But they picked up their game brilliantly, thanks largely to the trio of Rakesh, Birender and Vikas, to the point that they almost started dominating the Capitals. But Delhi recovered their position, and the quarter ended at 55-50.

The final quarter was a thriller where both teams played with their blood. Haryana Gold won hearts with their spirited comeback, and the match was in their grasp when they were going at full speed and the score was 70-70. But then a match turning, back breaking 3 pointer from Sachin (9) put Delhi ahead, from where they didn’t look back.

Final Scoreline: Delhi Capitals 73 (Pravin 18, Aaditya 15, Yudhvir 14) beat Haryana Gold 70 (Rakesh 20, Birender 17, Vikas 15).
