The Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns round off Wednesday's Christmas Day slate at the Footprint Center. The Nuggets are 16-11 on the season, while the Suns are 14-14. It's their second meeting of the year. The Nuggets and Suns also faced off two days ago.
In Monday's contest, Denver topped its counterparts 117-90. Phoenix had no answer for Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr.'s second-half exploits. Jokic ended the game with 32 points, two rebounds and seven assists, shooting 12 of 17, including 4 of 6 from deep, while Porter Jr. had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists on 10 of 12 shots.
It was a close contest in the first half, with only four points separating the teams entering the break. However, the Nuggets went on a run in the third to take a 22-point lead into the final frame, which pretty much decided the game.
Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal's 23 points were the only significant contributions the Suns received from their 12-man rotation. Nobody else managed to score over double-digits.
