The San Antonio Spurs are set to host the Denver Nuggets for the second game of their back-to-back contest on Saturday. A spectacular double-double from Victor Wembanyama and a monster near triple-double from Nikola Jokic were the takeaways from the first game Friday.

The Spurs clinched a dramatic 113-110 victory after Wembanyama's defense on Jokic in the final seconds. They have experienced an upward spiral of late, winning two games after a disappointing end to the year.

While several key members of the Nuggets squad have underperformed in recent months, Nikola Jokic is having another MVP-caliber season, averaging 30.7 points, 13.0 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game.

As for the hosts, Mitch Johnson’s Spurs go into the game with an almost clean bill of health, barring Jeremy Sochan, whose status is still up in the air. Sochan might not feature against the Nuggets with a back injury. His status will be determined closer to tipoff. He did not suit up for Friday's game as well.

Stephon Castle replaced Sochan in the opening lineup and is likely to continue to occupy the spot alongside Harrison Barnes, Victor Wembanyama, Chris Paul, and Devin Vassell.
