Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic preview
The Detroit Pistons have been playing exceptional basketball recently, led by Cade Cunningham, who is making a strong case for his first All-Star appearance with averages of 24.6 points, 9.4 assists and 6.5 rebounds this season.
The Pistons come into this matchup riding a two-game win streak after defeating the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks. Over their last 16 games, they’ve won 12, including victories against the New York Knicks, LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns.
In contrast, the Orlando Magic have hit a rough patch. Once sitting as the No. 3 team in the East behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, the Magic now find themselves in seventh place.
Despite the return of Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero (with Jalen Suggs still sidelined), the team has struggled. They recently suffered a humiliating 101-79 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, with Banchero shooting just 1-for-14 for eight points. That defeat came on the heels of a 16-point loss to the struggling Toronto Raptors.
