Devin Anthony Vassell is an American shooting guard for the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He made his NBA debut with the team in the 2020/21 season and has been a part of the team ever since.

Over 38 games with the Spurs in the 2022/23 season, Vassell averaged 18.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 43.9% from the field, including 38.7% from deep. He recently signed a five-year contract extension worth $135 million with the Spurs, the largest contract in franchise history.

Devin Vassell enrolled at the Florida State University and played collegiate basketball for the Florida State Seminoles. During his freshman season, Vassell played 10.7 minutes per game and averaged 4.5 points and 1.5 rebounds.

Vassell’s minutes increased to 28.8 in his sophomore season, and he participated in the 2019 Emerald Coast Classic. There, he scored 16 points against the Chicago State Cougars, 13 points against the Tennessee Volunteers 13 points against the Purdue Boilermakers in the final. Resultantly, he was honored as the Most Outstanding Player of the 2019 Emerald Coast Classic and was also a member of the Second Team All-ACC.

Throughout his sophomore season, Vassell averaged 12.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 30 games. He shot 49.0% from the field, including 41.5% from deep. After two seasons in college, Vassell declared for the NBA draft.
