A photo of Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards allegedly wearing a shirt referencing the "Hawk Tuah" meme recently went viral on social media. Many are curious to know if the photo of Ant-Man is real, as it has caught some social media buzz.

The alleged shirt that Edwards wore in the photo reads, "If she doesn’t Hawk Tuah, I don’t wanna Tawk Tuha." The photo of the Wolves star with the shirt was so well-edited that fans started falling for it. Even Haliey Welch, the girl from the original "Hawk Tuah" meme, was surprised with the post and the quote on the shirt.

"What have I done lol," Welch said.

Take a look at the alleged photo of Edwards:

However, the photo can't be seen in any of the NBA star's or the Timberwolves' social media handles. The photo of the Olympic gold medalist wearing the meme shirt has been photoshopped.

The photo originated from the NBA Centel X account, a page dedicated to parodying NBA-related content. The account shares satirical posts that catch fans off-guard. This isn't the first time the account has fooled social media fans.

They shared a post on August 16 stating that Thompson asked the Dallas Mavericks to display his four championship rings in their locker room. NBA Centel joked that Thompson wanted the team to stay motivated and that displaying his championship rings would encourage them.

Former NBA player falls for the Anthony Edwards shirt post from NBA Centel

Former NBA player Rashad McCants was among the first celebrities to sport the "Hawk Tuah" shirt. In an episode of Gil's Arena, McCants wore the now-famous shirt that was edited onto Anthony Edwards. The retired marksman saw the photoshopped post from NBA Centel and quickly shared it on his timeline.

"Influence is a strong word!!!! 🤷🏾‍♂️🏆🪦" McCants posted.

Fans were quick to let him know the photo of the current star was fake.
