The duo of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray couldn't save Canada's day at the 2024 Paris Olympics, losing 82-73 to France in the quarterfinal. Although SGA continued his streak of impressive performance at the Olympics, Murray couldn't break through on offense.
After a poor offensive streak in the pool games, there was a huge expectation on Murray. Fans thought the Denver Nuggets star would show up, given his playoff exploits. However, Murray had one of the worst performances in the Olympics, shooting poorly.
NBA Centel, a parody account on X, formerly known as "Twitter", made a post on social media that SGA was throwing shades at Murray after the loss. The post showed SGA making a post on his Instagram handle, calling Murray a choker.
"2 left it all on the floor for Canada and 4 (Murray's jersey number) was a chocker."
