Dillon Brooks is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets. He plays the position of the shooting guard in the NBA and has recently come to be noticed for his defensive prowess. Brooks was born on January 22, 1996, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The guard from Findlay Prep High School and Oregon was drafted as the 45th pick by the Houston Rockets in the 2017 NBA draft. Brooks was a key player for the Oregon Ducks, leading the team to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament of 2017. In this season, he was named Pac-12 player of the year, and he was also named an All-American.

Dillon Brooks made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2023). After being drafted by the Rockets, he was immediately traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he was made a starter. In the 2022-23 NBA playoffs. Following their exit from the playoffs, the Grizzlies made it clear that they did not want to bring Brooks back, and as a result, he signed a four-year deal worth $86 million with the team that drafted him, i.e. Houston Rockets.
