The Orlando Magic drafted Dwight Howard with the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. The eight-time All-Star played for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers in his NBA career.

Howard is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and led the league in rebounds five times. He won the NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

Orlando Magic (2004-2012)

Dwight Howard debuted in the NBA with the Orlando Magic. Throughout eight seasons and 621 games, he averaged 18.4 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 57.7% from the field. During the 2007/08 season, he was the league leader in rebounds (14.2).

In the 2009/10 season, Howard led the league in field goal percentage (61.2%), effective field goal percentage (61.2%), rebounds (13.2) and blocks (2.8). In the 2012 offseason, Howard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a three-team deal involving the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers.

Los Angeles Lakers (2012-2013, 2019-2020 and 2021-2022)

Dwight Howard joined the Lakers after being traded from the Orlando Magic. During his first stint with the team, he led the league in rebounds (12.4) in the 2012/13 season. During his second stint with the Lakers, he won his first NBA championship of his career in 2020.

Throughout three seasons and 205 games in LA, Howard averaged 10.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Houston Rockets (2013-2016)

Dwight Howard’s third team in the NBA were the Houston Rockets. Over three seasons and 183 games in Houston, Howard averaged 16.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.

Atlanta Hawks (2016-2017)

Dwight Howard played one season with the Hawks, after signing a three year deal with them. He played 74 games and averaged 13.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. During the 2017 offseason, he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets for Marco Belinelli, Miles Plumlee and a second round pick from 2017.

Charlotte Hornets (2017-2018)

Dwight Howard played for the Hornets in the 2017/18 season. He played 81 games and averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. He became the first NBA player after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in February 1978 to have a 30-30 game against the Brooklyn Nets. During the offseason, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, who waived him.

Washington Wizards (2018-2019)

Dwight Howard played for the Wizards in the 2018/19 season. Due to a back injury, he only played nine games for the team. He averaged 12.8 points and 1.8 blocks per game on 62.3% shooting. During offseason 2019, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in return for C.J. Miles, but they waived his contract through a buyout.

Philadelphia 76ers (2020-2021)

Dwight Howard signed a one-year deal with the Sixers during the 2020/21 season. He played 69 games and averaged 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
