FIBA have announced that it will hold the first-ever 3×3 All-Stars event in Doha, Qatar on December 12, 2013.
The agreement between FIBA and the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) for the one-day event is for three years and will bring all the best 3×3 players in the world to Middle East.

The FIBA 3×3 All-Stars will see six teams participate from around the world. It will consist of the winner of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final in Istanbul on 4-5 October 2013, the highest ranked teams in the Americas, Europe, the rest of the world as well as the host country. The field will be completed with a legends team. The prize money and appearance fee will reach a grand total of 120,000 USD.
3×3 basketball is inspired by several forms of streetball played worldwide. Steered by FIBA, 3×3 basketball is played between two teams of three players on a standard half-court. 3×3 was played successfully for the first time in an international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Singapore.
