After going one for six, it feels good to get a win here. India’s U18 men just beat Indonesia in the match for 9-12th place. The usual suspects, Palpreet Singh Brar and Amit Kanarjee stepped up, although Amit shot only 5 of 19 from the field. Palpreet had 24 points, 5 blocks and 5 boards. Rakesh added 8 points and 14 boards.
We gave up some easy points in the paint, but limited the points off turnovers, and scored 16 fast break points. Our three point shooting was a tad better than our previous efforts, 5 of 18.
India will play Syria tomorrow for the 9-10 place classification game. Few days ago, we lost 69-57 to them. Here’s hoping we can get revenge .
