Host Sri Lanka lost to Kazakhstan 45-69 on Day 4 to lose its four match in a row in the ongoing 3rd FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women at Colombo, Sri Lanka. The hosts lost the first two quarters 13-16 and 10-25 respectively and won the third quarter 17 – 12. But the Kazakhs won the last quarter 16-5 to win the match. After losing four matches, Sri Lanka now lies at the bottom of Level 2 of the championship.
Meanwhile defending champions Japan defeated Malaysia 90-28 to win four games in a row and maintain its 100% winning streak in Level 1 of the tournament. Thailand also maintained its 100% winning streak in Level 2 of the championship, defeating Jordan 87-51.
