It was to be expected. We didn’t really have a fighting chance against the Chinese. They have a sizable size advantage over us. Even with Satnam Singh we would have been hard pressed to try and snatch a win from them. Without him, we were really gunned down. We were pressed for 33 turnovers, to 14 of theirs. They had 45 rebounds to 31 of ours.
For India, MR. Rakesh had a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Narender Grewal scored 10. Those two were the only players who scored in double figures.
Tomorrow, we play Hong Kong. We do have a shot at defeating them. After a close 4 point loss yesterday, 65-61 to Lebanon, this third match vs Hong Kong should allow us to salvage some pride from this championship.
