The FIBA World Cup 2023 is the 19th championship going to be organized from August 25 to September 10. This occasion is hosted by three countries, the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia. A general of 32 teams will take part in this championship from all around the world and the prevailing team will be honoured with the Naismith Trophy.
The teams that are going to compete in the championship are selected with the help of a fifteen-month lengthy process known as FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. A total of 80 teams took part in this process from which 32 teams are certified for the championship. The groups participating in this process hail from across 4 areas (Asia and Oceania, Africa, the Americas and Europe).
Group Distribution: Teams in Group G
The selected teams are further divided into groups with the help of the FIBA World Cup Draw. This draw facilitates determining which groups will each other within the group phases. The 2023 FIBA World Cup will be performed in 3 stages- the group stage or first round, the second round and the final stage.
In the primary stage, the chosen 32 teams will be dispensed into eight groups with 4 teams in each. These groups are named from A to H. Every team in a set will face each other once and the pinnacle two teams from each group will get a hazard to play in the second round.
In the second round, a format of four groups from I to L will be applied. Each group will consist of four teams that got here from the first round. Again, the top teams from these groups will develop to the final round.

Spain is another notable group after Iran. This team has played in the FIBA World Cup championships several times and has two World Cup titles. The Spain men’s national basketball team struggled in the initial years to earn a valuable spot as a competitor.
Having won the FIBA World Cups in 2006 and 2019, this team is expected to have a rocking performance in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Spain is coming with its squad of 16 outstanding players and their head coach, Sergio Scariolo.
Ivory Coast (Power Rankings: 27): FIBA World Ranking: 43
Ivory Coast stands out as another noteworthy group in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. This team represents Ivory Coast in several international competitions. The Ivorian Coast national basketball team has already appeared in the FIBA Basketball World Cup four times. They defeated Puerto Rico in the final phase of the FIBA World Cup in 2010. In total, this group has made six finals appearances and two AfroBasket titles.
The 2023 FIBA World Cup will be the next international championship for this team. The contribution of the finest players of the country will surely have an advantage to the Ivory Coast in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The last team in Group G that is going to compete in the 2023 FIBA World Cup is the Brazil national basketball team. This team already has two FIBA World Cup medals that they won during the championships in 1959 and 1963. Brazil has participated in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 18 times.
This year, Brazil is coming with a large, 25-man squad to play in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. This team has never missed a World Cup. Recently, in 2019, Brazil received the top honour after beating New Zealand. Greece and Montenegro.
