After an unsuccessful finish in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, Dominican Republic is bringing its 12-man roster to the FIBA World Cup 2023. It will be the fourth occasion for the Dominican Republic when they are going to play in the FIBA World Cup championship. The Dominican Republic has revealed the list of the players that will represent the whole nation in the FIBA World Cup 2023 which is going to start on August 25.

The Dominican Republic national basketball team has been playing in FIBA since 1954. This team represents the country in several international basketball championships. Dominica Republic has appeared in three World Cups (1978, 2014, 2019) and 14 FIBA AmeriCup championships. In the FIBA AmeriCups, Dominican Republic won a bronze medal in 2011 and finished fourth in the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament. This year, Dominican Republic is again coming with its top-notch basketball players and is promised to have a stunning performance on the court.

The matches of this group are scheduled to begin on August 25 at Araneta Coliseum, Philippines.
