Franz Wagner is a German professional basketball player who plays for the Orlando Magic in the NBA. The Magic drafted Wagner with the eighth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Before the NBA, Wagner played college ball at University of Michigan, where he was named on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2020. In two seasons for the Wolverines, he averaged a solid 12.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Since making his debut in the NBA, Wagner has been one of the main forces of the young Magic team. In his rookie NBA season, he averaged an impressive 15.2 points in 79 games and improved his numbers to 18.6 ppg in the 2022/23 season.
