The 2014 BRDC F4 Championship was Russell’s first championship win ever, queuing the 2017 GP3 Series, and then the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship, becoming the fifth driver to win the Formula 2 championship in their rookie season, and one of only three drivers to win both GP3 and Formula 2 championships in their rookie seasons.
